The Clean Curbs pilot program allows commercial property owners and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) to apply for the opportunity to install sealed, rodent-proof containers on City property for trash and recycling collection.

Using containers can:

• Keep streets and sidewalks clean and walkable
• Make trash less accessible to rodents and other pests
• Improve the look of neighborhoods and commercial areas
• Allow for more efficient collections

Clean Curbs participants are responsible for purchasing, installing, servicing, and maintaining their containers. Before applying, you are encouraged to contact the Department of Sanitation (DSNY) to express interest and discuss potential locations.
