Parole officers develop a supervision plan and evaluate community adjustment. They will step in if the parolee's behavior threatens themselves or the community.
The parole officer works with a supervisor to determine when to take delinquency action. They also work to ensure that people released from prison by order of the Board of Parole and by statute live freely in the community without breaking the law.
